GOLD RUSH

I have a fever - the fever of gold since I’ve put this rose gold IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Yacht Club on my wrist.

There is something in golden timepieces, like there is something about that shiny metal, the whole mankind used to rush for. Of course this metal is still one of the best value keepers, but all above the value holds by its' economic history there is something more in it. Maybe the feeling when you touch it, or the shine of the surface, that never fades, makes me think that everyone should have at least one golden watch once in his/her lifetime.

If you are looking for something rare, uncommon, something that won’t oncome on the streets, and you had only one chance to have this golden piece, IWC Yacht Club would be strongly recommended. Even though Rolex has some super cool sport watches, or of course you can have all the Pateks if you are rich enough to buy them, not to mention an Audermas Piguet, but if you look for a reasonable priced timepiece with a great history, and awesome features, forget those money graveyards and go for this!

Let's talk about some facts besides subjective sights, too: the International Watch Company started the Portugieser line in 1939 and the Yacht Club version was a real novelty in 2010. With it's 45.5 mm wide case and rubber strap, it has a super cool, famous and elegant style in the IWC Portugieser way. The watch itself has been designed for high class gentlman activities like sailing, golfing or just taking a boat trip on Sunday. The dial and the face of the watch reflects vintage ships' instruments or some old frigate steerings wheels with the two detailed sub dials, and this piece of art also has a 12 hours flyback chronograph function. One hand measures minutes up to 60 and the other hand counts the hours up to 12 in the same single disc. Super smart, isn't it? The watch has 68 hours power reserve with it's in-house automatic movement that you can see through the sapphire caseback - trust me it's really worth it to look at it because the 89360 caliber is robust and beautiful.

I bet no one would go deep diving wearing a stunning watch like this, anyway this beauty is water resistant until 6 atm. The full magic of the rose gold case is visible daylight when the also uniqe “ardoise” dial will catch your eyes with it's brown an grey sunburst effect. Really something to admire I can tell.

Looks robust on your wrist  - I would’t accept less from a luxury sports watch, but this piece has such an elegant style, you can wear it also with a suit on an important business dinner or a coctail party, so it's very comfortable and easygoing.

Do not hesitate if you are up to find your ultimate watch or look for a brand new piece for your collection.
